Nine-Door Steel Lockers for Yancheng Normal University
Background
Yancheng Normal University was founded in 1958 and today has two campuses, Tongyu and Xinchang, covering nearly 1,500 mu (about 100 hectares) with a building area of 580,000 square metres. It employs around 1,390 teaching staff, of whom 1,046 are full-time teachers; 291 hold doctoral degrees and 632 hold master's degrees, and 65 doctoral or master's supervisors are engaged by universities including Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Hohai University and Soochow University. Student numbers exceed 36,000, including more than 21,000 full-time undergraduates and 15,000 adult-education students. The university has 6 provincial construction disciplines and 4 provincial innovation teams, was selected for the industry–education integration programme, the "Hundred Schools Project" and the Ministry of Education's new engineering research and practice project, and became a provincial master project construction unit in 2017.
The requirement
With a large population of staff and students, the university needed a batch of nine-door lockers in which staff could store their clothing and personal belongings, replacing ad-hoc storage and solving the day-to-day problem of personal items left in the workplace.
Our solution
The university already trusted Fenglong, so once our design plan was presented the contract was confirmed without delay and the nine-door steel lockers were specified. We then surveyed the rooms and arranged the layout around the product dimensions, aiming to fit as many units as possible into the limited floor space without blocking circulation. After several rounds of discussion the two sides agreed the plan, delivery and installation dates were fixed, and the goods were delivered to that programme.
The outcome
The lockers were delivered and installed on schedule, giving staff a secure, clearly assigned place for clothing and personal belongings, and the space-efficient layout made full use of the rooms available.

Intelligent Compact Shelving for Lu'an Baida Jinshangdu
Background
Lu'an Baida Jinshangdu is a fashion boutique department store with a total area of 32,000 square metres. Taiwan-based retail planners and designers were engaged for the concept, which uses a "back"-shaped circulation plan, simplified shopping lighting and a simple, fashionable and humanised approach to customer and staff movement. The store is positioned in Lu'an's mid-to-high-end market, anchored by well-known brands with domestic mass-market brands as the main body, and supports beauty spa, video games, children's playground and other interactive formats. Each floor has 2 escalators, 3 freight lifts and 2 scenic lifts, and the building is fitted with imported intelligent systems including television and audio monitoring without blind spots, central air conditioning and automatic fire alarm. The building also has a large underground car park on basement level two, where all 600 spaces are served by an intelligent three-dimensional parking system.
The requirement
The store needed to upgrade its existing filing equipment and move archive management onto intelligent compact shelving, with a supplier able to meet both the technical specification and the commercial terms of a fast-moving retail fit-out.
Our solution
Our quotation was prepared on a mutual-benefit basis and met the customer's expectations, so the decision was taken quickly. The customer had already produced a layout plan, and once both sides had checked it we moved straight into production. A few rounds of discussion settled the remaining details, the delivery and installation dates were agreed, and the equipment was delivered as planned.
The outcome
The intelligent compact shelving replaced the existing filing equipment and put archive storage under automated, space-saving management, and the project was delivered and installed on schedule. Both sides described the cooperation as fast and straightforward.

Rongsheng Power Selects Fenglong as Its Steel Furniture Partner
Background
Founded in 2012 and based beside the South Lake in Yueyang, Rongsheng Power brings together Hunan Rongsheng Power Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., Hunan Rongsheng Power Design Consulting Co., Ltd., the third branch of Hunan Jinhui Power Construction & Development Co., Ltd. and Yueyang Rongsheng Industry Co., Ltd. The group covers power design and consulting, power engineering construction and project management, and the production, research, development and sale of power equipment. Its work includes installing power equipment rated 110 kV and below, constructing new buildings, upgrading transmission and transformation systems, and distribution engineering, and it supplies complete sets of electrical engineering equipment, accessories, wire, cable, electrical equipment and labour protection products. The company employs one national first-class registered constructor, one registered electrical engineer, one second-class structural engineer, four second-class mechanical and electrical builders and four second-class municipal builders; engineering and technical staff account for about 45% of the total workforce, including 12 holders of senior or intermediate technical titles.
The requirement
In March 2020 Rongsheng Power shortlisted several suppliers and sent a delegation to assess them at first hand. Production scale, workshop organisation, quality control and delivery reliability all had to withstand an on-site inspection before a partnership could be agreed.
Our solution
Our factory director, Mr Ding, received the delegation and explained the production process, taking the visitors through the workshop production line. Having seen Fenglong's full production scale, the delegation judged the product quality to be genuinely good and the workshops well organised and rationally laid out; our team also presented previous Fenglong cooperation projects, which drew repeated praise from the visitors. After several rounds of discussion the two sides reached agreement, and delivery and installation dates were fixed.
The outcome
The delegation concluded that Fenglong is a dedicated steel furniture manufacturer, and the project was delivered and installed as scheduled.

Custom Office Furniture for Huai'an Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel
Background
Huai'an Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel was invested in and built by Hualong Holding Group Co., Ltd. with a total investment of nearly RMB 1 billion. The hotel occupies a site of 660 mu (about 44 hectares) with more than 50,000 square metres of floor area, and has 256 luxurious and comfortable rooms, including business rooms, deluxe suites and presidential suites, each carefully decorated and finished to a high standard. Its restaurants and banqueting spaces seat more than 1,700 guests, and it offers two multifunctional halls of nearly 1,000 square metres each plus meeting and banquet rooms of different sizes totalling more than 4,000 square metres, all supported by modern conference facilities and full-time conference management staff. Leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, KTV, gymnasium, beauty salon, chess and card room and cinema. The hotel is managed on the service philosophy of the New Century Hotel Group by a domestic management team, Zhejiang New Century Hotel Management Company, and has become a representative brand in Huai'an's hotel industry.
The requirement
The hotel found Fenglong through an online search. Convinced by our reputation in steel office furniture, the hotel asked us to send a project manager to discuss the furniture package required for the property, covering both storage and archive functions.
Our solution
After several rounds of layout revision and confirmation of the furniture colour scheme, production was scheduled immediately. The order covered filing cabinets, compact shelving and lockers, all customised to the hotel's requirements, and our project manager kept the design discussion open throughout production, exchanging views on product design until both sides had reached a common understanding.
The outcome
Delivery and installation dates were finalised and met in full, and the cooperation ran smoothly from first enquiry to completion.
